Viriclean are leading the fight against Coronavirus COVID-19 with cutting edge decontamination services, and are helping the Public Sector, Private Sector and Transport to open up again and maintain virus free locations.
The treatment we use is a chlorine-free, alcohol-free disinfectant technology it is proven to be highly effective against both enveloped and non-enveloped viruses, as well as bacteria, bacterial spores and fungi. In formal testing at accredited laboratories the process is proven to kill 99.99% of enveloped viruses (such as COVID-19) and non-enveloped viruses within minutes of contact.
All of our technicians are fully trained both on the various equipment and the disinfectants used, we also provide you with a Safety Data Sheet for you information and adherence to any requirements you may have. Additionally, all of our technicians are DBS checked for your safety. We carry as standard £1Million of Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
In many instances we are required to complete decontamination services on a regular basis, sometimes this is an obligatory requirement for some industries. Where this is the case we can easily arrange and manage a service agreement and provide certification which can be displayed if required. Feedback we have received from clients suggests that this can be a ‘selling feature’ in some respects as the public seek reassurances that certain establishments and vehicles/transport are safe to use.
The UK like many countries have responded to the coronavirus outbreak by enforcing a lockdown to break the chain of infection and reduce its spread to avoid overwhelming health services. From the outset we were all unsure how long this would last for and the enforced restrictions would be lifted.
Now that measures are being eased and many ‘public’ uses venues such as Shops, Schools and Nurseries along with more public areas are being opened, the public will understandably require assurances that these venues are safe to enter.
If your premises have been shut down, your employees and other users will want assurance that your premises are safe before they return and that they will stay safe while they are using them.
Coronavirus COVID-19 is a highly infectious disease, rapidly spreading from one city in China in December 2019 to over 200 countries and territories over three months. With no vaccine or specific treatment, the main advice to prevent COVID-19 is to practise stringent hygiene measures.
This includes cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and objects that people frequently touch. Now that we are seeing restrictions are lifted, there are likely to be more waves of coronavirus infections as people meet others, so we all must stay vigilant and continue using hygienic practices.
Viriclean are a respected specialist covering Merseyside and the North West and have built an enviable reputation for professionalism, service and quality.
Since Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a new virus there is NO commercially available viricidal efficacy test that can be used for any disinfectant against this specific virus at this point in time (March 2020).
As a specific COVID-19 efficacy test does not currently exist, no disinfectant on the market can claim to be effective against the specific COVID-19 virus causing the current pandemic.
However, since Coronavirus (COVID-19) is classified as an ‘enveloped virus’, its physical structure is similar to other ‘enveloped viruses’ which in this case means that the COVID-19 capsid containing the nucleic acid essential to viral replication is surrounded by a lipid membrane, similar to other enveloped viruses such as influenza and the three coronaviruses listed above.
The lipid based membrane ‘envelope’ of all enveloped viruses (including COVID-19) contains lipids and proteins and it is these proteins which bind to receptors on host cells and enable the virus to ‘infect’ the host cells (i.e. result in a human infection).
The Science Behind the Equipment
Electrostatics is the process of adding an electric charge inside liquid droplets when they are sprayed. This makes the droplet electrically stronger than the surface or the item it is treating. Just like magnets, they are drawn to each other and attach when one surface is more charged than the other. In simple terms, when you spray a solution that is properly charged with electrostatics, the solution will envelop the target.
The equipment expertly leverages and allows us to spray any water-based solution at a surface and the droplets seek out the target magnetically, while adhering to the substrate for better liquid agent performance than ever before.
The science of electrostatics is only one element of better surface management.
Our technicians are fully trained on both the equipment and the materials used. For each application we provide a downloadable Safety Data Sheets from this website.
